Email for song permission
Below is an email i sent to Flipsydes record label asking them for permission to use their song. I will now wait for a reply to see if they allow me to use the song or not.
Dear Sir/Maddam
My name is Scott Doidge and I am a student at Tavistock College. I am currently doing a media project where I am making an Television advert which is advertising an energy. My reason for emailing you is because I have decided to use a song from your record label, Champion by Flidsyde. To be able to go ahead and used this song in my advert I need permission from you due to copyright issues.
I hope you have time to read this email and get back to me in the near future.
Yours Faithfully
Scott Doidge
Chosen music for my advert – Flipside - Champion

For my TV advert which is advertising an energy drink I needed to choose a song to be played over the top of my advert. There were a number of songs that we tried to see if they sounded right when put together with the advert, one advert we tried was a song called Boom Boom by the artist Snoop Dog Featuring T-Pain. The song me and my partner finally decided to use was a song called Champion which is sang by the band Flipsyde.
There were a couple of reasons to why we decided to choose this song to be played over the top of our advert. One of the main reasons for choosing this song was because of the lyrics. During the chorus the band continually use the word ‘champion’ which fits well with my advert shows a person playing sport badly then drinking the energy then playing sport well. Another reason why we decided to choose this song was because it is an up tempo song which fitted well with our faced paced advert. By choosing this song to be played over our advert, the advert now sounds good and is visually good.

Mr Forster,
For my media A2 project, I am creating an advertisment advert for a new product. Me and my partner Scott have decided to make an energy drink advert and for this we need your permission to use the astro football pitch sometime this week to finish off our filming.
Could you email me back as soon as you can please.
Dan Oner and Scott Doidge
By sending this email it shows our professionalism by sending an email asking to use the football pitch instead of just going on it without permission.
